In 2010 La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California, made new friends with Kia Motors America when it was announced that it would become the new sponsor of a decades-long golfing event. The tournament will be known as the Kia Classic Presented by J Golf. It will be from March 22 to 28 at La Costa Resort and Spa, with prize money of $1.7 million.
