Hilton San Diego Bayfront

San Diego Bayfront Hilton

San Diego Bayfront Hilton

Hilton San Diego Bayfront features one of the most luxurious pieces of property in all of San Diego. Located right next to the San Diego Convention Center, the hotel offers some city lights views, but many water and ocean views from hotel rooms and suites. Its meeting space, convention space, location next to Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park, and walkway path to Seaport Village make this a unique, luxurious vacation. It could easily be called a resort, though it lacks an actual beach on site. What it does offer, however, is an outdoor pool with waterfront views, luxurious dining rooms, cocktail lounges and cafes, and the ability to walk to everything, The convention center is just steps away.

If you are attending a convention, this hotel would be an obvious selection. However, you can opt for other nearby hotels that are equally nice. Some prefer places such as the Hard Rock Hotel across the street, the original San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina, or approx. 40 nearby choices ranging from superb four diamond accommodations to budget hotels in the 2 diamond range.

San Dieg Bayfront Hilton offers many special deals and believe or not, when there are no conventions in town, they will often drop the price on rooms to affordable rates that you can hardly fathom. Next time you’re heading for San Diego, make a mental note to add this to your list of options.

Sycuan Top Golf Resort in San Diego

Posted on 11 September 2009 by admin

Sycuan Resort San Diego

Sycuan Resort San Diego

San Diego County city, El Cajon, is home to one of Southern California’s best golf resorts, Sycuan Resort,  ideal for weekend getaways, long-term stays, golf or tennis vacations, and casino resort vacations.

Sycuan Resort

One of the best getaways and best values south of L.A. in Southern California is Sycuan Resort. It features Willow Glen Golf Course (par 72 – 6687 yards); Oak Glen Golf Course (par 72 – 6682 yards); and Pine Glen. The Ted Robbins designed courses offer tight fairways, tricky undulating greens and difficult hazards, all set amongst mature landscaping, some hilly terrain and San Diego’s world famous weather. With 54 holes of golf, 11 lighted tennis courts, Primrose Spa, and Sycuan Casino five minutes away, this is vacationing the grown-up way.

Decadent? Perhaps. But honestly, the resort attracts mostly weekend vacationers, serious golfers, international travelers on longer stays at the affordable accommodations,  and some casino fans seeking an escape.  El Cajon is the dryer, warmer portion of the county of San Diego a mere 20 minutes (15 miles) from San Diego beaches and downtown.

Gorgeous landscaping, a luxurious setting that feels every bit a country club, and a place just far enough away from the bustling crowds to attract celebrities who often hide out barely noticed at the resort, makes for a vacation that’s a true escape. The resort is kid-friendly and offers golf lessons for youth as well as adults. Don’t be afraid to learn the ropes of a sport that becomes a lifetime passion for many.

Amenities include The Cafe & Grill restaurant and Echo’s Lounge for cocktails and beverage.

Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel Circle/SeaWorld

San Diego, Calif.–Families love weekend getaways to San Diego and a stay at hotels along Hotel Circle near Old Town provide affordable hotels close to everything. Mission Bay, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and other attractions are just minutes by car, when you don’t need to stay in downtown near the Gaslamp and Petco Park. Having spent many years on San Diego vacations, my family has stayed in this hotel. It was very basic, but clean, ideally located in a neighborhood, and it has a pool that everyone loves.

The swimming pool is situated outside the doors of most hotel rooms. If kids are up early playing by around 9 a.m., you do hear the sounds of laughter sometimes. This is very much a family hotel and budget hotel. For the price, it has everything you need. You can pay generally twice as much but we always looked at it in our younger years as an affordable one-to-two night stay allowing us to go to San Diego more often.  Check out prices

Posted on 10 September 2009 by admin

sdhilton-resort

San Diego Hilton Beach Resort Hotel is a playground for big kids and little ones alike. With a beach on site, Mission Bay beckons outside your hotel room or hotel suite door. Never mind the exercise buffs that jog and ride bikes along the beach path getting in shape or keeping those amazing San Diego tan bodies the city is known for.

When visiting San Diego Hilton Beach Resort, bring a swimsuit, bring the kids, a tennis racket is fine, a beach blanket for the good times at night, or plan to head over to SeaWorld and catch the fireworks show you can often see outside your hotel window. San Diego Hilton Resort has games for kids, sailboats for big kids, dining, parks to wander over to, and a beautiful swimming pool that offers refreshingly cool water on a warm San Diego beach vacation day you might expect. This is one of many locations offering San Diego beaches with hotels. If you want a great vacation, pay a little more and make this one a treat. We’ve stayed here many years and really love the bayfront suites. But every room is great, thanks to the location.
